The Torch is Austin’s professional women’s ultimate team! This team was ignited by the Austin Ultimate Community in an effort to promote women in ultimate and showcase them to an audience that wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to watch fierce, elite women in action. From its inception, the community has taken a grass-roots approach to this team in terms of ownership, funding, and organizing. The Austin Torch is a registered Non-Profit, community-funded team that is fortunate to have mutual support and respect from all corners of the Austin ultimate scene including UPLA, various club teams and of course all the great pickup players!
The Torch will be covering all player costs, salary, insurance, etc., and its leadership team are all volunteers. THANK YOU for helping with time and resources and money to help make this team happen!
