about torch
It’s Lit.
Austin Torch is a professional ultimate team with players hailing from all over the Lone Star State. The Austin ultimate community ignited the Torch in 2018 to promote and showcase women, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming athletes’ elite skills to audiences that would not otherwise get the opportunity to watch them in action.
The Torch is a founding member of the Premier Ultimate League (PUL), in which it competes against eleven other teams in the United States. Both the Torch and the PUL are 501(c)3 nonprofit, community-funded organizations dedicated to creating equitable playing opportunities.
The community has taken a grass-roots approach to the Torch’s ownership, funding, and organization from its inception. Check out our “Donate” page to learn more about how your contributions and sponsorships will keep our fire burning in the 2025 season.
